The purpose of this project is to put more emphasis on one of HLJ’s most popular and well known exported products. While the primary purpose of the site is to (in theory) easily sell Gunpla Models, the secondary purpose of the site is that it could be used as a testing platform for a full remake/update of their overall site.
Here I have a series of sketches, where I prioritize the use of a parallax image as part of the main banner. I also explored a slideshow in order to see if keeping with how HLJ currently has their site running could be added into a fresh new design. In some cases, these sketches featured small boxes of text that included in depth information about the product, but I eventually saw this as clunky and messy (both through feedback and my own re-analysis of sketches going forward).
Here I have a basic wireframe that is a result of peer feedback, the top bar contains the site's logo and a menu (this portion will be stickied, meaning it will follow the user as they scroll down). The information listed under the products will be standard, simply name and price with a little button to add to cart.
This is the end product, it takes into consideration feedback given about spacing between products and is as faithful as possible to the design goal I had as displayed in my wireframing.
Here is a series of mockups, showing my site in various forms on several devices; inclusive of a desktop, two laptops, a tablet and a smartphone. One of the mockups also includes a user in the midst of using the site.
